HOMEGROWN LARCH CLADDING

Sourced in the UK and machined in-house, our homegrown larch claddings are a cost-effective, lower carbon footprint option

PROPERTIES

British ‘homegrown’ larch is the most cost-effective option in the Premier Claddings range.

The timber largely originates from sustainably managed, private woodlands within a 100 mile radius of our manufacturing facility, offering a significantly reduced carbon footprint versus imported larch.

Larch boards from Premier Claddings are kiln dried prior to machining to enable quality, precision machining.  Larch naturally has a high resin content, which makes it strong and more resistant to rot and decay versus lower resin species.

Homegrown larch is faster growing than imported, slow-grown larch, and therefore has a much more open grain which results in a more rustic appearance.  Homegrown larch has subtle pink-red tones and a natural, rustic appearance containing knots. If left untreated, the larch will lighten to a subtle, silver-grey as it weathers.

Always seek advice about treatment and after-care to preserve the aesthetics and style you want for your cladding in the longer-term.
