Specialist timber panel processors, Decorpanel, joined the Premier group in February 2023 as part of the strategic expansion of our value-added services divisions.

Established in 1998, Decorpanel (based in Tyne & Wear) quickly developed a trade-wide reputation for technical excellence and service. The site provides cutting, machining, drilling, laminating and edge-banding solutions for a wide range of industries across the UK, including furniture manufacture, specialist packaging, kitchens and shop-fitting, as well as engineering and numerous other applications.

The well-equipped 4 acre site hosts an impressive array of machines and computer-controlled saws, run by skilled operatives. Decorpanel perfectly compliments and extends the capabilities of the Premier Processing and Fabrication division at Premier’s head-office location in Newport, South Wales.

In it’s commitment to develop panel processing services to customers, Premier Forest acquired North East Sheets & Panels (NESP) in November 2023.  Based less than an hour away from Decorpanel, NESP was re-branded to Decorpanel KBB, strengthening our range of services to customers in the interior-fit out, joinery and kitchen, bedroom and bathroom (KBB) sectors.

The new Decorpanel division provides both additional capacity and geographical coverage to further enhance service levels across the country, as well as extending the capabilities and expertise available for providing efficient, cost effective solutions to our customers.
