Throughout the project, Gavin Williams, Sales Executive at Premier Forest, worked closely with Oliver Price from The Lodge Workshop to ensure every detail met the desired standards. Oliver highlighted Gavin’s approachability and knowledge as essential in navigating the timber selection process, commenting: “Gavin’s insights were vital in selecting the right timber and treatment method to achieve our vision.”
Together, they decided on planed Swedish redwood with a tongue and groove v-profile internally, and the same redwood with a PAR profile for the external cladding. This choice not only promised durability but also offered a classic aesthetic. To minimise wastage, Gavin measured up on site, with the timber then machined to exacting size. To add a touch of uniqueness, the external cladding was charred by The Lodge Workshop to enhance the timber’s natural grain pattern.
Effective communication and meeting of deadlines were vital for the project’s success. Gavin’s reliability allowed for seamless coordination between the teams, crucial for meeting production schedules. Oliver emphasised the importance of Premier Forest’s commitment to timely deliveries: “Gavin’s accessibility and reliability for meeting delivery slots were vital for our production timelines.”
Premier Forest’s swift response and competitive pricing were key factors in meeting project expectations. Oliver received a detailed quote promptly after timber selection, aligning well with the budget. “Premier Forest Products not only delivered quality materials but also showed a keen understanding of our budgetary needs,” Oliver added.
Reflecting on the collaboration, Gavin said: “Our partnership with The Lodge Workshop showcases the importance of effective communication and a collaborative approach for such bespoke projects.
“It’s really gratifying to see how our combined efforts have transformed a vision into reality, delivering exceptional results and setting a new benchmark in bespoke accommodation.”
