Job Vacancies: Marketing Assistant

Premier Forest Products is seeking a Marketing Assistant to join our Head Office in Newport. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support our Marketing Manager in implementing comprehensive marketing strategies across various channels including digital platforms, websites, and offline campaigns.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce Marketing Materials: Develop marketing collateral aligned with strategic plans, ensuring they meet set objectives and are measurable.
  • Support Sales Teams: Assist in creating effective marketing materials for branches, incorporating feedback for continuous enhancement.
  • CRM Management: Record and manage leads using our CRM system (Sugar CRM) to facilitate effective sales tracking.
  • New Product Launches: Aid in the execution of marketing strategies for new product introductions.
  • Website Management: Maintain and optimise Premier Forest’s websites for improved user experience and SEO performance.
  • Social Media and Digital Marketing: Implement social media campaigns and advertising initiatives to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  • Email Marketing: Design and execute email campaigns in compliance with GDPR & PECR regulations.
  • Copywriting: Create compelling copy for various marketing channels including social media, advertising, and PR materials.
  • Agency Coordination: Liaise with external agencies, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and achieving campaign objectives.
  • Internal Communication: Establish effective communication channels with internal stakeholders to foster engagement with the marketing department.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Support the Marketing Manager on special projects as required.

Requirements:

  • Education: Preferably a relevant marketing qualification.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in a hands-on marketing role, with proven campaign implementation and measurement skills.
  • Skills: Strong copywriting abilities, meticulous attention to detail, proficiency in digital marketing platforms, and excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Creativity: Demonstrated creative flair and a good eye for design.
  • Initiative: Ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Driving License: For this role, the successful candidate will be required to visit our other branches and attend events and functions. Due to the remote locations of some of these, a driver’s license is essential for this role.
