An exciting new opportunity has arisen within our Head Office in Newport for an IT Support Technician.  As an IT Support Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our organisation’s technology infrastructure.

 What you will be doing …..

 Your responsibilities will include writing SQL scripts to extract data for our business intelligence reports, providing technical assistance to end-users, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining various systems.

What we are looking for …..

 The ideal candidate should have a strong background in IT support, excellent problem-solving abilities and:

• The ability to write and optimise Microsoft SQL scripts for database management and data retrieval. This includes creating queries to extract the necessary data for our business intelligence reporting.
• Proficiency in managing Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
• Experience with user provisioning, licence management, and security configurations within the Microsoft 365 environment.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• The ability to troubleshoot office-related issues and provide user guidance.
• Knowledge of basic networking concepts, including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
• Troubleshooting network connectivity issues and assisting users with network-related problems.
• The ability to provide timely and effective technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• A college diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or related ICT courses.
