In 2022, Premier made the strategic decision to move production of fence panels from Duchy Timber in Cornwall to a sawmill in Crumlin, south Wales. Hand-finished in-house, all fencing panels will now be Welsh made and meet the original Duchy Timber fence panel specification, to ensure the highest quality.
The fence panels use up to 30% more timber than competitor panels. Plus, the timber pieces are fully pressure treated with high performance preservative, to produce a heavy-duty, durable and long-lasting fence panel.
Moving production to Crumlin – closer to our head office in Newport – creates logistical benefits, which means faster delivery to customers, across the UK. Investment into the production lines has also increased capacity, to meet seasonal demand.

With a quicker turnaround time and a broader product range available for Nationwide delivery, we can supply the full fencing materials package and provide a fantastic service to our customers across the UK.”
Premier Forest offers the complete fencing package, so customers can order everything they need for their fencing project from one place, with one delivery. This includes fence posts, fence rails, capping rails, gravel boards, sawn treated timber, post-concrete, fixing and fencing accessories, as well as half round poles and post stakes for agricultural use.
