Job Vacancies: Transport Coordinator

Premier Forest Products are currently recruiting a Transport Coordinator to join our Creeksea Depot.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate daily transport schedules and delivery routes to ensure efficient, timely deliveries.
  • Liaise with drivers, the Port, sales teams, and third-party hauliers to ensure smooth transport operations.
  • Produce pick notes, delivery notes, journey manifests, and other transport documentation.
  • Raise purchase orders and support invoicing processes.
  • Manage PODs, pick notes, and all associated branch and transport paperwork.
  • Coordinate vehicle and driver schedules, including agency drivers where required.
  • Support the Port in producing pick and delivery documentation and arranging transport from the bulk distribution shed.
  • Monitor and respond to transport-related issues such as delays, customer queries, or operational disruptions.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements, deliveries, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety and transport regulations.
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager and wider site team to support day-to-day branch operations.
  • Contribute ideas to improve transport and branch processes as the site continues to develop.
