Three decades ago, Nigel Williams, Dilwyn Howells and Terry Edgell founded Premier Forest Products as a panel importer and wholesale distributor.  Run from Terry’s bedroom in Cwmbran, the business quickly grew and expanded into the site at Newport Docks, and is still Head Quartered there, maintaining its roots in South Wales.

Focused on the importation and wholesale distribution of panels and timber materials, Premier Forest grew into a multi-site, multi-million pound operation. Today, Premier Forest is far more than purely a timber and panel distributor.  Through sustained investment, strategic acquisitions and expanding our specialist capabilities, we have developed into a market-leading timber solutions provider across multiple sectors, including construction, merchanting, fencing & landscaping, furniture manufacturing and infrastructure, nationwide.

More than three decades on from those early beginnings, Premier Forest is still an independent company, guided by the same values that inspired our foundation: integrity, expertise, service, innovation and partnership. As we continue to grow, our ambition remains clear – to be the UK’s most trusted independent timber solutions partner, helping customers build smarter, safer and more sustainably for the future.
