Premier Forest Products are currently recruiting a HGV Class 2 Driver for our Mon Timber Branch in Newport.

We offer a range of products – softwood, hardwood and panel products, which are delivered locally and throughout South Wales. The role will be ensuring these products are delivered to our customers in an efficient and timely manner. To do this you will need a HGV Class 2 licence; additionally a HIAB certificate and experience would be an advantage, however for the right candidate we would be willing to provide training. It would also be great if you had knowledge/experience working within a similar environment (timber/builders merchants etc.).

What you will be doing…

• Ensuring safe and efficient loading and unloading of your vehicle
• Ensuring timely deliveries to customers, always demonstrating professionalism whilst on the road and with our customers.
• Daily routine checks of your vehicle, reporting and defects and maintenance needs; if any.
• Following company policies and procedures.
• Any other duties appropriate to the role.
