In October 2024, Premier Forest purchased the trade and assets Bitus UK Limited from Swedish company, Bergs Timber.

Bitus UK – formerly known in the timber trade as Continental Wood Products (CWP) – is an importer and bulk distributor of timber, panels and garden products serving industrial manufacturing, furniture-making, construction and merchanting sectors. Their activities fit perfectly with Premier Forest’s core business as an importer and distributor of timber products.  Premier Forest took on Bitus UK’s warehousing and distribution activities at Baltic Distribution Ltd’s port-side facility based in Creeksea, Essex, and the sales office in Cirencester.

Access to this strategically located, port-side facility improves our logistical and operational efficiency, while strengthening our nationwide distribution infrastructure and customer offer – both in the South East region and across the UK.  The large distribution hub means we can stock a broad choice of products, including our full range of softwoods, hardwoods and sheet materials / panel products, to support our entire branch network.
