National Timber Systems, part of the Premier Forest Products Group, is currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our busy Transport team in Bristol.

National Timber Systems is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of engineered timber products, supplying roof trusses, floor joists and timber frame solutions to some of the country’s largest housebuilders. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 1 Driver to play a key role in delivering manufactured Trusses and Joists safely, efficiently and on time. Working closely with the Transport Team and depot colleagues, you will be responsible for ensuring deliveries are completed professionally while maintaining the highest standards of customer service and compliance.

What You’ll Do:

• Complete daily deliveries of manufactured Trusses and Joists to customer sites across the UK.
• Ensure all loads are safely secured and loaded in the correct sequence for delivery.
• Follow all site-specific delivery instructions, access routes, and local authority restrictions.
• Adhere to the Highway Code and all relevant transport legislation.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and complete defect reporting procedures.
• Assist with vehicle loading and ensure all products correspond with delivery paperwork and loading manifests.
• Ensure loads are securely strapped and safe for transit before leaving site.
• Report any delivery issues or site concerns promptly to the Transport Team.
• Obtain customer signatures for all deliveries and return completed Proof of Delivery (POD) paperwork.
• Download digital tachograph data in accordance with company and legislative requirements.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and vehicle cleanliness.
• Drive other classes of company vehicles where appropriately licensed and required.
• Work in line with Group Health & Safety policies, safe systems of work and environmental procedures.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and represent National Timber Systems professionally at every customer site.

What We’re Looking For:

• Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) Driving Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Clean and in-date driving licence.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Flexible approach with the ability to respond to changing delivery requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a busy transport team.
• Experience delivering to construction sites, housebuilders or within the construction supply chain (preferred).
• Experience transporting timber, trusses, joists or other building materials (preferred).
