FOOTBALL FANATICS RAISE MONEY FOR THE TTBS

Sought after tickets for a late January Liverpool v's Chelsea Premiership match raised £350 for TTBS at this year's annual TTBS Christmas dinner and auction, the tickets kindly donated by Nigel Williams, Director at Premier Forest Products, were auctioned at the North west TTBS Christmas dinner, which was held at the Marriot City Centre in Liverpool. The successful bidder who will be attending the match is Tony Hammond, Managing Director of Taylor Maxwell Timber Ltd.

The occasion saw current timber industry members dig deep into their pockets to make bids and raise money for their predecessors.  Organisers received pledges and donations throughout the event and the money raised will be used to pay for hampers, annual TV licenses, and the household bills of those who used to work for the timber trade but have now fallen on hard times. The amount raised this year means that the society can now support more of those who need their help.

Nigel Williams commented on the event and his kind donation; "I was pleased to give a donation to the North West TTBS and extremely happy with the amount of money that the tickets raised. It will be a great match, but auctioning them has already produced a good result."
