GEORGE AND THE DRAGON RIVALRY REVIVED FOR TTBS GOLF DAY
Competition at this year's Timber Trades Benevolent Society (TTBS) golf day is expected to be fiercer than ever, when the Welsh and English timber companies that make up the TTF's Bristol and Western Division take separate sides and vie for supremacy on the golf course.

In a major departure from previous tournaments, the September 13 George and the Dragon Challenge will be a Ryder-Cup Style event between golfers from each country, and the honour of sponsoring the Welsh team has been gallantly accepted by Premier Forest Products.

Premier is keen to point out that you don't need to be Welsh to join their team, just into golf, so if you fancy coming along for a few rounds and a few laughs in aid of a good cause, then please sign up. The Golf Challenge will be held at the Bristol and Clifton Golf Club at Failand, near Bristol, and the entry fee of £75 includes an 18-hole stableford competition, putting contest, team polo shirt, commemorative gifts and prizes, plus an after match presentation dinner.
